The first treble wasn’t the greatest, but neither was the days racing! The big news in the racing world was the news the Channel 4 had won the rights to show all British racing from 2013. Despite of lots of adverts, in my opinion this is a great move. The BBC have only given racing a mere touch up in terms of coverage over the past few years, whereas their Channel 4 counterparts have moved on and in my opinion excelled. The biggest plus of all is that we don’t have to listen to the ridiculous Willie Carson anymore. A legend in the saddle, but a fool as a presenter!
So, here’s Tuesday’s treble :
SOUTHERN STATE 1650 SOUTHWELL (nap) – has been thereabouts in recent runs but not quite got there. I reckon today will be the day! 5 point win(won 9-2 = 27.5 points)
REVE DU JOUR 1520 SOUTHWELL (nb) – running well at Southwell of late and will hopefully pip Ghost Train on the line.2 point win(won 2-1 = 6 points)
ALHABAN 1510 KEMPTON (treble) – ran well in second last week and knocking at the door. Must have a chance 2 points each way(won 4-1 = 14 points)
The treble pays = 412.5 points!!!
STAKE = 11 points
RETURNS = 47.5 points
BANK = 138.5 points
Running totals – WINS 3/6 – 50% NAPS 1/2 50% TREBLES 1/2 50%
The bad has been broken, adios, goodbye, au revoir to shoody BBC racing!
