Franco Baresi was…..

Well lets just write off Wednesday. Firstly it snowed and I hate snow, it’s cold, it’s wet and in this country it disrupts everything. Secondly, not one of my selections came anywhere near a place, never mind a win! That’s the ups and downs of racing and gambling, especially when you’re a fun punter like me!

So, why the title I hear you ask? Why Franco Baresi? Well, my nap today is what he was in the footballing world in his pomp!

We also have the Masters starting on Thursday and for a couple of tips here is @RHolmes guest blog on his winners – The Masters. I’ve gone for Tiger Woods to win and Ishikawa and Quiros each way. Whatever happens it will be a fantastic four days!

So, what was Baresi? See below :

ITALIAN MASTER – 1520 – LUDLOW – (nap) (3rd -3-1) ran very disappointingly on his first appearance for connections. The Nicholls yard is coming back to the form of old, especially with Aintree looming. TALKONTHESTREET beat LIKEABLE ROGUE, another of Nicholls’ runners last time. I reckon he knows what it takes to win this. (5 point win)

DOMTALINE – 1450 – LUDLOW – (nb) (Won – 11/10 – + 6.3 points)jumped hurdles well and should take to the bigger obstacles. Will get some weight over rival LANCETTO who wasn’t as good as him over hurdles anyway!(3 point win)

ELSAFEER – 1620 – LUDLOW – (treble) (unplaced)has been running in much better company to this, and the drop to 2m will suit and I doubt they will be able to catch him! (2 points win)

STAKE = 10 points

RETURNS = 6.3 points

BANK = +110.3 points

STATS as of 5/4/12 WINS 13/49 26.5% NAPS 4/17 23.5%% TREBLES 2/17 11.7%

I’m watching you!
