Lets start the post with the great news that the almighty beast Frankel (above) is all systems go again. Thank god for that, it is such a pleasure to see a pure thoroughbred moving like he does.
The Craven meeting for me was a nightmare, as has been my blog over the past two days! Apologies if you’ve lost a bit, as always though, they are my selections and I don’t suggest you follow my advice, I only do this as a bit of fun! For some reason my blog for Thursday seems to have disappeared into the land of the Matrix, so I can’t edit it with the changes from today!
Anyway, on to Friday.
CHEVETON 1335 NEWBURY – (nap) (unplaced) won the Ayr Silver Cup and loves a bit of cut in the ground. It’s certainly got softer over the past day or two, and whilst 5f is a bit short for him these days, the ground should make it feel like 6 or 7. (4 points each way)
RASHEED 1725 NEWBURY – (nb) (non runner) has ran well at this distance in the past, yet ran no sort of race last time. The ground is an unknown quantity, but I think his class will show through. (3 point win)
SEVEN IS LUCKY 1525 AYR – (treble) (unplaced) has won twice previously at the track, including last time. He’s raised 9lbs for that, yet likes to get his toe in and may be one to be infront of the handicapper. Jim Goldie has won the last two runnings of this too! (2 points each way)
STAKE = 15 points
RETURNS = 3 points for NR
BANK = + 67.5 points
Stats as of 20/4/12 WINS 19/87 21.8% NAPS 6/30 20% TREBLES 2/30 6.6%
