Ascot – Sunday

Good old Aurora's Encore! This was the photo of him I put up for my blog when he ran at Warwick in January when I tipped him up. He ran well that day but then petered out. He ever even touched my radar for the National – typical!

Anyway, I thought the National was ace and it was even better that everyone involved returned safe and sound, I also thought Channel 4's coverage was ace. They're getting better!

On to a new week and here are my best three for Sunday :

TRAVIS COUNTY 1525 ASCOT (nap) – (unplaced) he has run well both times this season and I was impressed by his attitude and determination in borh runs on soft and heavy ground. I think he will appreciate the better ground and it may bring out more improvement in him.

CONQUISTO 1600 ASCOT (nb) – (3rd – 5-1) he has been running some cracking races this one and is 2-2 with Tom Scudamore on board. He also ran well behind Overturn at Doncaster. Again the better ground should help.

KAFFIE 1710 ASCOT (treble) – (unplaced) has been running in better company than this and not really getting anywhere. An increase in distance may give her time to settle more and not worry about being too prominent.
