Champions Day

It's almost upon us everyone! British Champions Day!
This time next week will see the cream of British and Irish thoroughbreds batlting it out to be crowned a true champion. What an idea this was to bring all these top races and horses together to bring down the curtain on the British Flat season.
Without a shadow of a doubt the race we all are anticipating to be a classic is the re-match between DAWN APPROACH and TORONADO. We have been treated to highly entertaining battles between these two equine superstars.
Next Saturday without a doubt is the decider. These superstars began their epic duel way back in May in the 2000 Guineas. That day Dawn Approach slammed all his rivals and looked head and shoulders above TORONADO. We then had the intereting decision to run DAWN APPROACH in the Derby, the less said about that the better!
Then we had the epic tussle in the St James' Palace Stakes when it looked like TORONADO had finally shown his true quality and he would surely go past DAWN APPROACH towards the line. What we didn't come prepared for was the huge heart the Godolphin colt showed that day to hold of his fierce rival and win by a short head. DAWN APPROACH 2 TORONADO 0

Step forward the DUEL ON THE DOWNS with both colts re-opposing in the Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood. Should Dawn Approach win it would have cemented him as top dog in this tussle, but TORONADO was having none of it. A superbly timed run by Hughes delivered him at the optimum moment and revenge was taken. DAWN APPROACH 2 TORONADO 1

So, to next week, the decider, the re-match, winner takes all race. Who will take the prize? Who will be crowned Champion colt?
Who knows? One thing for sure is I can't wait and as the anticipation builds over the coming week so will the pressure. Will anyone crack? Let's see. You can be there remember but Tickets for British Champions Day are selling fast. Make sure you don’t miss out! Get them here now.”
