Catterick & Notts selections

At last I had a winner on the blog after a few days of placings, to be honest I'm not in great form at the moment but hoping for a change in luck as we head to Newmarket next week for the Craven meeting. PULL THE PIN (11-4) was the winner on Tuesday and the nap TWEEDO PARADISO came third (5-1). On to Wednesday with two horses from a trainer I follow closely (PULL THE PIN's) Declan Carroll.

MICK SLATES 1620 CATTERICK (nap) – this horse was progressive last year and whilst his return at Warwick wasn't anything to write home about it will have done him good. He has won over course and distance and has form on better ground.

BOUCHER GARCON 1750 CATTERICK (nb) – this horse won this last year and started the season flying. His return last time was promising and e has every chance of taking this. Hopefully the ground won't have dried up too much.

STEPPER POINT 1510 NOTTINGHAM (treble) – there was something amiss with this horse last season after impressing at Chantilly. I'm hoping a break will see him return to a form that saw him run better than such horses as Hamish McGonagall and Eton Rifles. Could run a big race at a silly price.

Thursday tips

Got a bit of time whilst on my residential to bring you a little blog for Thursday. Had two winning naps on Monday and Tuesday in the #TEAMNAPS competition so happy there! CARAMELITA (7-2) and CHEYLESMORE (7-4). Lets hope the winning nap run continues.

FARANG KONDIEW 2020 HAYDOCK – (nap) (WON – 3-1) pulled to hard last time and is a decent horse. If settles will have a great chance of taking this.

BILIDN 1545 NOTTINGHAM – (nb) (WON – 11-10) won very impressively at Newcastle on Saturday over 2m. Been raised again but is very progressive and has still got bags of scope.

GUNS OF LOVE 2040 HEREFORD – (treble) (unplaced) has been running well and was staying on when third at Warwick. Better ground suits and may well get his neck infront!

Stats as of 14/6/12
WINS 51/291 = 17.5%
NAPS 19/81 = 23.5%
PLACED 72/291 = 24.7%
WIN OR PLACED 123/291 = 42.2%
TREBLES LANDED = 2

Sunday Selections

What a fantastic day yesterday was, out of my selections on the blog there was FIERY LAD (10-1), SLADE POWER (5-1) and PASTORAL PLAYER (3-1) that all won. I had them all in a Lucky 15 too which gave a rather nice profit. We also had places for DAZINSKI (10-1) and SET TO MUSIC (2-1). Those kind of days only come along once in a while so I’m going to enjoy it while I can. I know some of you followed the advice and I hope I won you a bit!

On to Sunday now.

AZULADA BAY 1530 FONTWELL – (nap) (WON – 4-1) I backed this one at Warwick the other week when it ran third. It stayed on well and a visor today will definitely help as it was on and off the bridle from a fair way out. No doubt it will stay though. Good chance.

OPERETTIST 1620 NOTTINGHAM – (nb) (unplaced) ran well at Newmarket last time on his reappearance, has a good draw and is another who could be anything at a decent price.

THE CLYDA ROVER 1700 FONTWELL – (treble) (2nd – 4-1) last three runs here have been 312 another bold bid forecast to get his nose infront again.

Stats as of 3/6//12
WINS 46/257 = 17.9%
NAPS 16/71 = 22.5%
PLACED 63/257 = 24.5%
WIN OR PLACED 109/257 = 42.4%
TREBLES LANDED = 2

Tuesday Tips

Monday prooved to be a decent day on the blog with EFISTORM (100-30) obliging. Declan Carroll’s horse I flagged up went off a short priced favourite, I don’t usuall tip those, so apologies and it got turned over at 4-6. He did have another placed at 33-1 in the last race at Redcar with HOPES REBELLION – he really is one to follow.
So, on to Tuesday and here are my best three :
UKRANIAN 2000 KEMPTON – (nap) (unplaced) ran out a ready winner on his handicap bow and has been raised 10lbs for that win. This race is tougher but that rise may not stop him.
HALSTATT 1515 NOTTINGHAM – (nb) (2nd – 11-2) has run well here and finished first or second in three runs. Also has two career wins that have both come in May.
WESTWITHTHENIGHT 1645 NOTTINGHAM – (treble) (WON – EVS) ran well when second last season and the ground and step up in trip should suit, must have a chance of progression and winning.
Stats as of 22/5/12
WINS 35/199 = 17.5%
NAPS 12/59 = 20.3%
PLACED 50/199 = 25.1%
WIN OR PLACED 85/199 = 42.7%
TREBLES LANDED = 2
